Sponsorship Information
The ACM MAssachusetts Gender Inclusive Computing Celebration (MAGICC) provides an affordable, regional technical conference option college and university students in Massachusetts and the surrounding area to learn more broadly about computing, to showcase their computing projects, and to gain new professional and career skills. MAGICC is an ACM Celebration of Women in Computing and has the goal of encouraging the inclusion and retention of women and gender-marginalized individuals in computing, but it is open to all. For most students who attend, it is their first computing conference.
MAGICC was held for the first time in 2023 at Smith College, with 92 attendees. Student attendees came from 9 academic institutions. For 2025, we have reached out to over 50 colleges and universities across Massachusetts and neighboring states, encouraging their participation.
Sponsorship provides institutions a way to show their commitment to diversity in the computing and technology fields. It enables MAGICC to offer discounted student registration rates, making the celebration accessible to a larger set of students.
